What hasn’t been written or said about Brazil? Its beautiful beaches, lively and diverse culture, thick green jungles, astonishing natural resources and so much more. Brazil is a country that must be experienced in the flesh, in order to believe such beauty truly exists. The beaches of Rio, the Amazon River and Iguazu waterfalls, the unique old city of Salvador and much more. It’s all there, dancing and smiling, extending a hand for a first-hand experience of a lifetime.
Day 1 – Arrival at Iguazu
Landing at airport in Iguazu (Brazilian side), on the border with Argentina and Paraguay. Check in at hotel. Stayover in Foz Do Iguazu.
Day 2 – Iguazu Falls
A visit to the Brazilian side of the waterfalls, which offers a multi-sensual experience like no other. Afterwards, a tour of the Argentinian side of the waterfalls, including a ride on the Ecological train into the park and a walk on the bridges above the water, until the upper part of the “Devil’s Throat” (tours conducted with a private vehicle). Stayover in Foz Do Iguazu.
Day 3 – Iguazu – Salvador
Departure from airport in Foz Do Iguazu to Salvador, the capital of Bahia and the center of Brazil’s Afro-Brazilian culture, Candomble and Capoeira. Check in at hotel. Stayover in Salvador.
Day 4 – Salvador
A tour of the city, including the neighborhood of Pelourinho, the city’s old center. A visit to the San Francisco Church and a walk through the narrow colonial alleys (tour with private vehicle). Stayover in Salvador.
Day 5 – Salvador
A free day for independent exploration. Possibilities include a boat ride in All Saints Bay to “Forte” Beach (additional payment). Stayover in Salvador.
Day 6 – Salvador – Rio de Janeiro
Departure from the airport in Salvador to Rio de Janeiro – one of the most beautiful cities in the world, situated between mountains and ocean, bays and granite, forests and islands. It is a cosmopolitan city that echoes freedom and happiness – even on weekdays – and opens its arms to embrace tourists from all over the world. Check in at hotel. Stayover in Rio de Janeiro.
Day 7 – Rio de Janeiro
A morning tour to the Tijuca Forest – a tropical haven in the heart of the city – up to the top of Corcovado Mountain, with its enormous statue of Jesus and a breathtaking view of the city: Laguna Rodrigo de Frietas, Guanabara Bay, Rio’s beaches and Sugarloaf Mountain (tour via local tourist bus). Stayover in Rio de Janeiro.
Day 8 – Rio de Janeiro
A half-day tour to Sugarloaf Mountain: a drive across Botafogo and Flamengo beaches, and a cable car ride to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain, where a breathtaking view of the city’s beaches awaits (tour via local tourist bus). Stayover in Rio de Janeiro.
Day 9 – Departure Flight
Departure flight from Rio de Janeiro airport to Israel or to the next destination.
